Wheat and Fish (Norway, c1962)

This is, I think, our first trip to Norway. And here’s an elegant stamp showing wheat ears and a fish, most likely designed to align with harvest season. Stamps with this design were in pretty wide circulation in Norway through the 1960s and into the 1970s, so think of them as your everyday stamp rather than a special edition.

Norway is the second largest exporter of fish and seafood in the world.
