The ground dove is a small bird that inhabits the Caribbean, central America, the southern states of the US and the northern parts of South America. It’s the smallest of the doves inhabiting the Americas and, as the name suggests, spends most of its time walking (though it can fly). They are pretty sweet: they have a partner for life, they don’t migrate and, whilst territorial, they won’t fight off intruders.
